For the upper 25 per cent of the off-grid Ugandan households I have developed, with 3 other students, a solution that keeps all the components of a Solar Home System together, that was optimized regarding production, transport & distribution, installation and usage & durability and that took into account modularity.


The project was conducted for SolarNow (www.solarnow.eu). With this solution we decreased SolarNow’s cost price and thereby enlarged the margin per product. In the end this leads to an Solar Home System affordable for a broader target group.
